THE bar chart illustrates the sales of five different products in four seasons at US department stores in 2011.
Overall, it is clear that women’s outfits had the highest sales in all seasons; by contrast, jewellery sales were slightly low in winter and spring .
To begin with summer and autumn, the cost of garments for females was higher, showing $80000 and $115000, than men’s clothes, which sold at around$40000 and was slightly the same amount as those of sports equipment and cosmetics in autumn, followed by the figure for jewellery selling at $45000, while those three items showed similar numbers in summer, accounting for $25000.
As for the remaining data, in spring, the figure for female’s outfits totaled $60000, providing $40000 for workout tools, which was the equal number as garments for women in winter, while sales of cosmetics, outfits for males, and jewellery exhibited similar patterns in winter, at $25000. In comparison, these figures except for sports equipment but with jewellery were sold at $20000.
