The provided chart illustrates the analysis of usage of different energy sources in France in interval from 2000 to 2030. The data for coal, oil, solar energy, and nuclear energy is provided in megawatts.
Overall, the evidence shows that coal as a source of energy will proceed losing it’s popularity and will be gradually replaced by more cost-effective oil and nuclear resources.
The most significant trend shown on the chart is the rising usage of oil and nuclear energy types. Both power sources were stably gaining more attention since 2000 and are predicted to rise with the same speed to 2030. In contrast, coal has been the most commonly used resourse in 2015 with 100 megawatts, but the trend started to change right after that. Coal usage is forecasted to be decreased to less than 20 megawatts by 2030. Another thing that stands out is the solar energy usage. It does not change and stay around 10 megawatts for the whole reviewed interval.
