Overall, the summarized amount of rainfall in millimetres in Upington is significantly higher than in Cape Town for 12 months. However, there is a trend showing that the rainfall from March to September is increasing in Cape Town , and decreasing in Upington noticeably in the same period of time.

Furthermore, the maximum temperatures in Cape Town are not increasing more than 30 Celcius. The trend demonstrates the stable temperature between 25 and 30 degrees in January and February and then, the temperature is going down slightly from March to June. Subsequently, the temperature in summer and September keeps being similar, around 20 degrees. After September, the maximum temperatures increase considerably up to 25 degrees approximately. The minimum temperatures show the same trend fluctuating in summer period, but the temperature is lower than 10 degrees.

Similarly, the maximum temperature is fluctuating at the same time in Upington, but it is substantially higher. The maximum temperature for 12 months is between 35 and 40 degrees, however, the temperature in summer time is the same as in Cape Town.
