Overall, Europe has the highest education rates, while Sub-Saharan Africa has the lowest. Females slightly outnumber males in most regions for secondary education, but males havs small advantages in higher education in some areas.
Europe has the highest participation rate in secondary education, with nearly all of the students being female and a slightly lower percentage of male students. With less than 20% of males and roughly 25% of females, SSA has the lowest numbers. With minor gender differences,the percentages in East Asia and Latin America are similar, ranging from 40% to 55%. Participation in higher education declines across all regions. With about 50% for both genders, Europe continues to lead. Men slightly outnumber women in Sub-Saharan Africa, where the percentage is below 30%. Similar patterns are seen in East Asia and Latin America, where men have a slight advantage.
