The graph displays three genres of music albums purchesed by a differend gender and age group in Britain. Overall, it can clearly be seen that the male group was leading in all three categories compared with the female group. Moreover, classic music albums were the least attractive genre to purchase for all groups.
In comparison between gender groups, men were leading in every category of music genre. Male choice in every category was: pop music around 28%, rock music 31% which was the most attractive for them and classic music 9%. While female group’s choice fell on pop music (19%), while the least popular choice was classic music and accounted for around 7%.
In terms of age groups, in the category of pop music, the majority of purchases were made by the age group between 25-34 (31%). While 45+ aged people showed the least interest with exactly 10%. Whereas in category of rock music, approximately 32% of purchases were made by people aged between 16-24. In contrast to people aged between 16-24, 45+ aged people made up only 7% of overall purchases. However, even though the 45+ aged group of people made up the minority of two categories, in terms of classic music, they made up the majority of purchases and accounted for 20%.
