The chart illustrates global monthly sales in million units of two comic book houses.

Overall, Marvel comics peaked November and December, while DC comics peaked at August. However, on the months of February to April it Marvel comics experienced a slow sales. Although, for DC comics, it gradually rose from February to April.

The two brands of comics only reached until 160 million units sold. Though, DC comics had fluctuations and gradually decreased its sales after reaching its highest million unit. It started at around 50 in January and rise steadily to 120 in April, then it sharply went down in may to 60 million units. However, for Marvel comics, in January, the sales are at 100 million units and suddenly reached its lowest sales from February to April with only 20 to 30 million units.

In addition, from June to October, Marvel comics had mild unsteady sales from 90 to 120. Although, in November and December, Marvel comics had reached its biggest million unit sales of the year with 160 million units sold. However, DC comics had its smallest on December.
