The table gives the information on what percentage of the Dutch lived in 4 different types of houses in three different areas of the country in 2012. The population figures in analyzed areas was approximately the same.
Overall, it can be seen different kinds of accommodation were popular among citizens from different areas of Denmark. Thus, people in Central area preferred detached houses, while Southberg Area locals mostly chose terraced ones. Speaking of Green Park area, the vast majority of people liked living in flats more than other kinds of accommodation.
According to the table, the population of Green Park area totalled 31,700 people in 2012, and the most preferable type of housing for them was a flat. About three quarters of citizens chose this kind of accommodation. If one looks at the other areas, they can see that apartments were not closely popular in Central and Southeberg Areas. Among 32,100 and 32,000 of people respectively, only 15% and 25% lived in this kind of housing. The most typical variant of accommodation for Centra area citizens was detached house, with 39% of people living there in 2012. In Southeberg Area it was terraced house. More than a half Dutch from this area lived in such houses.
The least popular kind of accommodation differed. Mere 5% of citizens from Southeberg and Green Park areas bought semi-detached houses. Detached houses were also not in favour among the people from Green Park area. In Central Area the least typical kind of housing was flat, with only 15% of people living there in 2012. If take other variants into consideration, the situation was as follows. 18% of people liked living in terraced houses and 28% – in semi-detached houses in Central Area. Just 14% of people lived in terraced houses in Green Park area. A quarter and 14% of Dutch citizens from Southeberg area preferred flats and detached houses respectively.
