The table compares the proportion of people who lived in some various housing types in Denmark in 2012.
Overall, housing preferences were totally different across the three areas. While apartments were the favourite type in Green Park Area, terraced houses were the most popular option in Southberg. In contrast, the Central Area recorded more equal distribution of residents, with detached houses being the most common type of accommodation.
In the Central area the figures for population were 32,100 and detached houses were the most popular type of accommodation, accounting for 39% and was closely followed by semi-detached houses, which were chosen by 28% of residents. In contrast, smaller proportions of people lived in terraced houses (18%) and just 15% of residents preferred flats or apartments, making it the least common type of house in Central Area.
In terms of other two locations, can be observed totally different housing trends. In the Green Park area, where inhabitants amounted to 31,700, the proportion of them living in flats or apartments almost tripled compared to the Southberg area, where citizenry were 32,000, standing at 76% and 25% respectively. In contrast, the figures for terraced houses were four times more in Southberg than in Green Park with respective shares of 56% to 14%. Meanwhile, semi-detached houses remained the least popular choice in both of these areas, representing a mere 5% of residents in each of them. Similarly, in Green Park the figure for detached housing type were 5%, albeit 14% in Southberg.
