Overall, the consumption of pizza decreased slowly over the period given, while for hamburger and fish & chips it rose. At the start of the period, pizza was the most popular fast food. Fish and chips, which increased sharply in middle years, stayed the most consumable product by the end of the period.
With regards to the amount of pizza eaten it began at just over 300 grams in 1970 and then dropped by approximately 100 grams in 1990. Likewise, approximately 40 grams of hamburger was eaten in the first year, after which the figure grew and then peaked at just under 300 grams in 1990.
On the other hand, the consumption of fish and chips started at about 80 grams in 1970 and increased slowly to around 90 grams in 198, after which this figure rise dramatically in the final years to 500 grams in 1990.
