The line graph illustrates the usage of public transportation systems in Tokyo, New York, London and Sydney between 1980 and 2019.
Overall, it is immediatly apparent that while the figure for Tokyo experienced a significant rise, Sydney showed a much lower increase over the time frame. Taking the data as a whole all 4 cities reported a dramatic grow.
In 1980, 25% of Tokoys population used the public transport and by 2019 the figure stood at just under 80%, making it the highest figure of all categories though the given time. In contrast, the rate for Sydneys trasportation systems stood at just over 10% in 1980, and 80% in 2019.
Meanwhile, the share of London accounted for around 15% and surpassed between 2000 and 2005 New Yorks figure and stood at 65% in 2019. In comparision, while New York started at 20% and dropped below Londons figure in 2019 to 55%.
