The line chart illustrates the number of international students enrolled in four Australian universities between 2000 and 2015.
Overall, all four universities experienced an increase in international student enrolments over the period. University A showed the most dramatic growth and had the highest number of students by the end, while University D remained the least popular throughout.
At the beginning in 2000, University B enrolled the most international students at around 3,000, followed by University A with approximately 2,000. In contrast, Universities C and D had much lower figures, at about 1,000 and 500 respectively. Between 2000 and 2005, growth was relatively gradual for most institutions.
From 2005 onwards, University A saw a sharp rise, increasing from about 5,000 students to nearly 16,000 by 2013, after which the figure levelled off until 2015. University B grew steadily but less dramatically, rising from around 3,500 in 2005 to approximately 9,000 at the end of the period.
University C also experienced consistent growth, climbing from about 2,000 in 2005 to roughly 6,000 in 2015. Meanwhile, University D showed the slowest increase, with enrolments rising steadily from around 1,000 to just over 3,000.
