The two graphs illustrate the vehicle number in England and Wales and the total of CO2 emissions in tonnes from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, it is clear that vehicle sums have an increasing trend. Meanwhile, the amount of CO2 emission in tonnes has both an increasing and decreasing trend.
From the vehicle total in England and Wales, the number started at 20 million and increased slightly to 35 million vehicles in 2010. In the next 10 years, the number of vehicles rocketed and peaked at 60 million in 2020.
There were 4 transport of CO2 emission in tonnes namely cars, buses, vans and trucks. From 2000 to 2020, cars were the highest starting at more than 2 tonnes then increased strongly to 3 tonnes. The second was trucks with nearly 1. 5 tonnes. Vans and buses increased slightly and remained unchanged between 2010 and 2020 with 0.6 tonnes and 0.5 tonnes, respectively.
