Overall, the rate of unemployment in the three countries fluctuated uncertainly over time. The joblessness rate of Spain is the highest, and Germany is the lowest. Additionally, the table includes the ratio of male and female in the labour force in 1991, in which men’s rate is higher than women’s rate.
In the line graph, it can be seen that Spain and Italy shows a similar trend where the rates of both started with a rise and ended with lower rates. Meanwhile, Germany percentage of unemployment seems to gradually raised from 1991 to 2005. Each country has a different highest point. For Spain, the peak of unemployment rate remains at 18% in the period between 1993 and 1995. For Germany and Italy, the highest percentage is roughly 12% at 2005 and 12% in 1998.
