The graph illustrates the number of people who were connected on the Facebook social media app on an everyday basis, among three nations between the years of 2007 and 2014. As we can clearly see, the number of daily users in Vietnam has greatly increased, contrary to Thailand, while Cambodia was fluctuating.
Indeed, in 2007, around twenty-five millions of people were active on Facebook. Since then, this numbers has kept collapsing throughout the years, dropping all the way down to five million in 2014. On the other hand, there was a dramatic rise in popularity of the application in Vietnam, starting with five million active daily users ; that figure was then multiplied by five. Regarding Cambodia, it seems that the number of people being active on Facebook has fluctuated a lot knowing some peeks in 2008, 2010, 2012 and lastly 2014 (reaching to almost ten millions), as well as some drops every two years.
Whereas Facebook seemed popular among Thais, both Vietnam and Cambodia have exceeded Thailand. This platform was the most regularly used in Vietnam in 2014.
To sum up, Facebook, was the most popular in Thailand in 2007. In 2014 it has known a great drop in the number of daily users, thus a bigger number of Vietnamese appeared to appreciate this website in 2014.
