Overall, it can be seen that the figures in all countries fluctuated significantly throughout the decade.
According to the chart, from 2002 to 2006, Colombians doubled its coffee exports from 5 million to over 10 million. Similarly, Brazil only exported around 13 million in the first year, then after four years it slightly rose to 15 million. However, a reversed trend was occurred in Costa Rica, where its coffee exports hit 15 million in 2002, after which it fell to roughly 7 million in 2006.
After 2006, both Brazil and Costa Rica continued to increase the amount of coffee exports, while Colombia dropped to a low of nearly 2 million in 2008. Afterwards, the figures in all countries rose and Brazil reached a high of nearly 25 million in 2012, making it the country with the highest coffee exports.
