The picture illustrates the changes in the unemployment rate of youngsters who were 15-24 years old between 2000 and 2012. Overall, all countries except Germany had increased the proportion of unemployed young people at 2012 compared with 2000.
Looking into details, the unemployment rate in Italy outpaced the other countries. There were fluctuations between 20% and 30% over a decade until the unemployment rate rose substantially over 35% by 2012.
