The given line graph compares the amount of consumption of three types of fast food, namely hamburger, fish & chips, and pizza, in UK, over a 20-year period.
Overall, the figures for fish & chips and pizza increased over the period, whereas pizza consumption decreased during the given time frame. It is also clear that, although pizza was the most popular consumed fast food at the start, fish & chips outstripped it towards the end of the survey.
In 1970, the figure for pizza stood at 300, before the gradual slump first to about 280 in 1975, and decreasing further to 200 by 1985. By the year 1990, pizza consumption experienced a slight rise to above 200.
In contrast, the other two figures, hamburger and fish & chips, faced same trends with different amounts. Hamburger consumption started with considerably lower amounts, with around 50, but went up gradually and peaked at below 300 at the end. The consumed fish & chips in the UK was below 100 in 1970, before surging to about 150 in 1980 and overtaking pizza level by 1985. By the end of the period in 1990, fish & chips consumption hit a high of 500.
