Overall, the number of tourists increased significantly in all years over the 25 years. It is also clear that Japan was the most popular destination among tourists, whereas Canada is the least visited one.
In 1995, Japan had the most number of tourists with 5 million people while Canada is the least with under 5 million people. The percentage of people who visited Australia were always between Japan and Canada. Over the following years, tourist numbers rose steadily in all destinations. By 2020, Japan saw a remarkable increase to 30 million visitors, while Australia and Canada reached around 20 million and 15 million respectively.
It is evident from the graph that the number of tourists visiting Japan increased more rapidly than those visiting Australia and Canada.
