After falling to approximately 1,900 in 2006, the figure generally increased, reaching a peak of roughly 2,700 in 2012. Murder figures were significantly lower than those for the other two crimes, rising from roughly 500 in 2003 to around 800 in 2005. Thereafter, despite some fluctuations, the figure ended at approximately 500 in 2012.
