The line graph illustrates the proportion of individuals using the Internet in five different places ( including North America, Latin America and Africa) over the period of two decades starting from 2000.
It is clear that all five regions have showed an upward trend. While North America accounted for the highest percentage , the opposite trend was true for Africa.
Africa and Asia were the two regions started at the lowest point, at about 0% in 2000. Over the next 10 years, Africa increased gradually before immediately went up in 2015 at around 1%. Additionally, Asia showed the same trend as Africa, which starting to rise dramatically from 2010, at almost 2%. Then, in the final year, when Africa had 3% of inhabitants using Internet, the figure for Asia was doubled at 6%.
Another striking feature was that North America and Latin America were stated from the highest point, at 4% and 2%, respectively. Moreover, North America always expanded significantly throught out the period, growing to 6% in 2015 and reaching a peak of the map at almost 10%. Finally, although Latin America started at the lower point than North America, but it almost equaled to the figure of North America in 2020.
