The line graph compares the proportion of users who relied on five types of communication services from 1998 to 2008.
As can be seen from the chart cellular phone service was the most widely used communication method, whereas both fixed and broadband recorded the lowest levels of usage throughout the ten-year period.
In 1998, the proportion of people using landline services was the highest among the five means of communication, accounting for about 14%. But the figures almost remained unchanged until the end of the given period, once witnessing a peak of 20% by 2006. Meanwhile, at the beginning of the period, internet and mobile phone subscriptions cited very less proportions, with almost 5%, before both of them experiencing a gradual increase, and finally reaching 23% and a peak of 60%, respectively in 2008.
In contrast, the populations did not utilize mobile and fixed broadband tools until 2002. This trend only changed when the figures rose slightly in 2005, by 2%. However, despite being a new technology, both of these communication forms showed a continuous growth until end of the year 2008.
