Ten years later, in 2020, the percentage of overseas tourists to Destination 1 rose to nearly 25% and to Destination 2 reached about 17%. Meanwhile, the figure for Destination 3 rose slightly to around 11%.
The proportion of foreign visitors to each cultural attraction is projected to rise. The percentage of overseas tourists to Destination 1 is predicted to climb to 40% in 2040. This will be almost double the figure for Destination 2 which is forecast to reach 25%. Also, the proportion of international travelers to Destination 3 is expected to go up to 18% in 2040, the lowest figure among the three sites.
