The given line graph compares the amounts of three different kinds of materials produced in the forest industry in the UK from 1980 to 2000.
It is obvious that while paper and packaging was production increased and was always the highest figure, the amount of sawn-wood and wood pulp produced fell over the period shown.
Regarding the most produced materials, In 1980, the UK produced around 230 million tonnes of paper and packaging. This figure saw a moderate growth to 250 million tonnes in the next 10 years. After that it went up more speedily to end the period at a high of 350 million tonnes.
With regard to sawn-wood and wood pulp production, the former began the period at 200 million tonnes. It quickly fell by 50 million tonnes in 1990 and bottomed at approximately 130 million tonnes at the end of the period. Similarly, wood pulp production experienced a minimal decrease m ddaxfrom about 170 million tonnes in 1980 to 150 million tonnes in 1990 and equaled that of sawn-wood. It finished the period at 160 million tonnes after rising marginally in the second half of the time span.
