In 1980, paper & packaging were the most widely produced products, at around 225 million products. In subsequent years, this number saw a gradual increase to approximately 250 million in 1990, before experiencing a more rapid incline a peak of 350 million in 2000.
Sawn-wood and wood pulp, ranked second and third at the beginning of the period, with 200 and roughly 175 million products respectively. Thereafter, both experienced a steady decline to 150 million each over the first decade. However, in the second half of the period, wood pulp demonstrated marginal ascent to around 160 million products, whereas sawn-wood continued to decline, albeit at slower rate
