The line chart below displays the various trends in sending money abroad by non-native people in three different countries over a period of 20 years.
Overall, America and the UK’s trends were the most fluctuating ones among all three nations showing numerous peaks and declines in the entire period. Another thing to point out is that Australia was the country which had the lowest amount of money transfer from 2000 to 2020.
The USA and the United Kingdom began with a number of 15 and 25 transfers in the year 2000 respectively. They steadily increased until 2006 and 2008 to 40 and 45 and then both plummeted to 20 and nearly 58. Transfers then showed a significant increase until the year 2018 to decline again to the end of the period with a proportion of transfers of 68 and 74 respectively.
Australia was the nation that always displayed a dramatic climb throughout the whole period. In the year 2000, immigrants initially sent about 10 transfers then the amount of these gradually rocketed to about 35 in the year 2010 and peaking at a number of 55 at the end of the period. For this reason Australia can be ranked as the most stable country in the number of money transfers over a 20-year timeframe.
