The line graph illustrates the numbers of participants involved in five types of activities (film club, martial arts, amateur dramatics, table tennis, musical performances) at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia, over 20-year period from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, film club consistently attracted the highest number of participants, while amateur dramatics experienced a gradual decline. In contrast, table tennis saw the striking rose, whereas martial arts remained relatively stable.
The only type to have seen a decline in participants is amateur dramatics. It began around 35 participants in 2000, falling slightly in 2005, rose again to about 38 in 2010, and then negligibly decreased to 35 by the end of the period.
The other three types of activity went up, with different degrees of change. Table tennis saw the greatest increase, starting at just 18 participants in 2000, increasing the most between 2010 and 2015 to about 55 participants. Having started period with 65 members of the film club, the number dropped slightly to about 60 in 2010, and then stands out as the largest number of participants. Musical perfomances, nonexistent in 2000, rising slowly from the 2005, and then increse rapidly to 19 by the end of the period.
