Overall, music streaming preferences tended to show differing trends and fluctuations over the entire period. Meanwhile, classical music remained relatively stable and jazz music experienced sharp declines and increases; hip-hop and electronic music demonstrated a similar pattern of growth.
Percentage of jazz experienced a sharp decrease from approximately 35 percent in 2010 to just over 13 percent in 2012, however, then it began to grow, having reached approximately the same figure in 2022 as in 2010. In contrast, classical music remained relatively steady, not following a similar pattern to the other 3 genres of music. Percentage of classic listenings started from 10 percent in 2010 and ended with the same number in 2022.
Compared to jazz and classical music, hip-hop and electronic remained relatively steady from 2010 to 2017, showing an average of about 14 percent. However, they started to demonstrate increase between 2017 and 2022, having reached their peak in approximately 45 percent in 2022.
