The graph shows the proportion of family with internet access in four powerful countries (North America, Europe, Asia and Africa) from 2000 to 2020. Unit are measured in percent.
Looking from an overall perspective, it can be seen that the percentage of households in all four countries experiened a dramatically rise over the period given.
Starting with the amount of family that used the internet in Africa, it stood at around 3% in 2000 then increased steady to 30% in 2020. Likewise, the number of households with internet access in Asia rose significantly from 10% to 55% by 45%.
Switching to Europe, the proportion of family using internet climbed from 30% to 80% by 50%. Furthermore, there was a dramatically jump of the percentage of household that access to the internet in North America went up to 90% from 53%.
