The line graph describes how the visits of internet users changed in four different internet search engines namely Google, Yahoo, AOL and Jeeves between Novermber 2004 and December 2010. The table gives information about the number of searches carried out in the same period.
Overall, Google was the most prevalent website, attracting the highest visits over the period. In addition, the searches on these four websites saw an increase in the nine month period, although experiencing an downward trend in Yahoo and Jeeves.
Looking first at Google and Yahoo, the former started at just under 60% of visits to this website, after which it experience a significant growth to reach a peak of exactly 70% at the end of the period. Meanwhile, 30% of searches was recorded in Yahoo, followed by a fluctuation until December 2008, before falling to around 27% in two years later.
Regarding the remaining internet engines, both AOL and Jeeves started at approxiamtely 5% in the proportion of the popularity among the US internet engines. Notably, an upward trend was seen in the figure for AOL, surpassing that of Jeeves at August 2009 to become the third common internet company at the end of the period. By contrast, accesses to Jeeves witnessed a gradual rise to peak at about 12% in August 2008, and then decreasing considerably to just 2% at the end.
