From 1980 to 2010 the proportion of spending rose dramatically, despite there were declines in 1990-1995 and 2000-2005.
Quick look at pie charts, the most motive for staying in the United Kingdom was for holidays in both two years 1980 and 2010, with 44.1% and 39.1% respectively. Staying at relatives/friends place contained 18.7% in 1980, then this proportion increased for approximately 10% in 2010 with 28.2%. Other reasons were the lowest in both two years, with 16.6% and 9.8% respectively.
