The line graph illustrates the average number of visitors entering a museum in summer and winter between 9:00 and 20:00 in 2003.
Overall, the number of visitors was significantly higher in summer than in winter throughout the day. In both seasons, the figures increased during the morning, reached a peak at around 13:00, and then declined steadily towards the evening.
In summer, the number of visitors began at approximately 400 at 9:00 and rose sharply to a peak of about 1,500 at 13:00. After this point, the figure decreased gradually to around 1,200 at 15:00 and continued falling to roughly 800 at 17:00. By 20:00, the number had dropped considerably to about 300 visitors.
In contrast, winter figures were much lower overall. The number started at around 300 at 9:00 and increased gradually to reach a peak of approximately 400 at 13:00. After that, it declined steadily, falling to about 350 at 15:00 and eventually reaching around 250 by 20:00.
