The line graph demonstrates the amount of invenstent in AI and other venture capital firms between 1995 and 2017.

In general, it can be seen that both types of investment increased significantly. In addition, investment in conventional venture capital firms was considerably higher than that in AI.

At the beginnig, the number of conventional venture capital investment rose. Moreover, in 2000 the figure grew sharply from around 20BN USD to over 75BN USD. After hitting the highest point in 2000, the amount of capital decreased dramatically to 25BN USD by 2005. In following decade, the figure remained fluctuatlly. The figure went up in about 2008 and in 2010 a slight fell. However, by 2015 the amount of capital was increased considerably from 30BN USD to over 70BN USD.

Between 1995 and 2010, the figure of investent in AI stayed unchanged, below 2BN USD. Then, marginally fluctuations could be seen between 2000 and 2005. And in 2015, figure grew to nearly 4BN USD. After a small decline, it increased again to 5BN USD.
