The line graph illustrates the average daily mobile phone usage among individuals aged 18 and above from 2015 to 2025.
Overall, there was a gradual increase in telephone usage among people aged 18 to 49 over the years. Although the elderly over 50 years old used their phones, their daily usage remained below the minimum level.
Mobile phones were most popular among teenagers in 2015. Children between 18 and their mid-twenties (24 years) spent just above 160 minutes daily in 2015; however, this increased dramatically to over 220 minutes by 2025. In contrast, the mid-aged (25 to 29) started at just above 120 minutes; although their daily usage rose to over 140 minutes by 2025.
While Individuals aged 30 and in their late 40s were on their phone for just over 140 minutes in 2015, there was a noticeable increase of close to 180 minutes over the years. Conversely, it was evident that people in their 50s barely use their smartphones for less than 120 minutes.
