In general, as is clear from the graph, even though the enrollment rates pertaining to Italy took the lead at the beginning, the figure began to ebb after the initial surge. Whereas, the participation in Germany and England showed the same rate at the beginning of period and increased gradually.
Upon a closer look at contest attendance rates in Italy, the figure was 35 in 1980 before reaching to the top-level in 1986, which is 37. After the steady growth, the percentage experienced gradual reduction over the span, showing sharp 25 in 2004.
Turning to remaining data, the figures for England and Germany match enrollments showed almost the identical trend. There is substantial similarity at first – sharp 25 for both nations – in 1980. After decreasing to 19, England increased to 33 in 2004 – securing the second highest rank. Whereas, Germany surged further by reaching its peak at approximately 33 until in 2004.
