Overall, industries A had the highest employment rate during most of the period. Both industries A and B experienced a fluctuation, while industry A witnessed a significant decrease, industry B increased considerably. There was a steed rise in industry C, whereas industry D declined rapidly.
In 1990, industry A recorded the highest employment rate at 50%, which was 10 percentage points higher than industry D, 20 percentage points higher than industry B and 30 percentage points higher than industry C. By 2000, the employment rate in industry A saw a slight decrease of around 45%, while the rate of employment in industry B rose rapidly 35%. Similarly, the percentage of people in employment in industry C showed a growth trend, rising from 20% to 25%. In contrast, there was a gradual reduction of approximately 37% in the employment rate in industry D.
During the latter part of the period, the employment rate in industry A fluctuated at approximately 38%. Although it remained the leading industry until 2020, it was finally equal to industry B in 2025. There was an oscillation in the employment rate in industry B, at under 40% in 2025. Meanwhile, industry C continued to grow steadily to around 33%. By contrast, Industry D fell gradually to approximately 29% in 2025. By the end of the period, the employment in both industries A and B showed the highest employment rate, while Industry D had the lowest figure.
