Overall, the polyester has highest rise from approxiamately 5 million tones in 1980 to 70 million tones in 2015,while wool in contrast had the lowest quantity at the beginning, in addition it had deminision from 2000 to 2015. The cellulosic has raised slightly. The cotton had volatile line which changed nearly every year.
In 2000 to 2015 was rising trend that touched almost every group of fiber. The cotton has rising in this period from 25 to over 30.
Cellulosic fibers showed a mild upward trend, increasing from about 5 to 10 million tons, whereas wool demand declined steadily from nearly 5 million tons in 1980 to around 3 million tons in 2015.
Overall, synthetic fibers, especially polyester, became dominant in global textile consumption, while natural fibers such as wool lost popularity over time.
