The line graph provides data on the monthly cinema attendance in the USA, China, and the UK from 2000 to 2020
Overall, every single country witnessed a consistent upward trajectory over a 20-year period. The UK which registered a considerably lower share initially surpassed the remaining countries by the end of the timeframe. Notably, during the middle years, especially in 2015, all countries accounted for almost identical figures, exhibiting a minimal margin in the graph.
The first half of the period came with marked and continuous growth for each country. Starting off by recording roughly 20%, the U.S began to rise, attaining 30% by 2010. In the meantime, The UK and China closely followed one another, constituting 10% and 15% in 2000, which notably increased by nearly 10% by 2010.
Regarding the second half, it is evident that the UK indicated a drastic incline, outcompeting China and the U.S. Standing at approximately 23%, the UK swiftly rose, peaking at a notable 40% by the final year. The U.S, meanwhile, experienced the opposite at first: dropping from 30% (2010) to 25% (2015) before undergoing the recovery by the following year. By 2020, The USA sharply increased, reaching almost 35% ultimately. Finally, China hovered at 27% by the final year, making the cinemas less attractive kind of social activity for its citizens.
