In general, the figures for all four regions witnessed a significant increase by the end. Moreover, there were no visitors from Africa for most of the given period.
Turning to the details, in the beginning, the line for Europe was at 2 million, while that for North America was nearly half of that. The figure for Europe experienced growth to 2.8 million in the next two years, before falling sharply to 2.2 million by 1993. Meanwhile, the figure for North America hovered at around 1.1 million until 1994. In 1996, both lines for Europe and North America climbed to 3.1 million and continued to rise.
Considering the figure for Asia, it fluctuated marginally at around 0.5 million in the beginning. By 1994, the line for Asia demonstrated noticeable growth to 1.2 million. By contrast, the figure for Africa was at ground level between 1990 and 1995. In 1998, the line for Asia recorded its peak value at around 2.2 million and stayed at this level. By 1997, the figure for Africa reached 0.5 million and plateaued until 1999.
