The line graph illustrates the percentage of various age groups visiting a country’s cinema between 1978 and 2008. It can be seen that all the age groups had followed a similar trend, reaching their lowest points in 1988 and remaining unchanged in the close last period.
In 1978, about 90% of young people aged from 14 to 24 chose the cinema for their visit, the highest among all other age groups, while the rates were lower for the alternate older age groups, in 80%, 60%, and 40% respectively. In 1988, the percentage of those under 25 dropped considerably by 15%, similarly, the other individuals engaged in filming experienced a 20% decrease. In the next 11 years, while the youngest and oldest groups recovered their starting points, visitors under 35 increased 2 times faster than those in their middle age.
From 1998 to 2003, there were almost no changes in the proportion of visitors to this cinema. Subsequently, all witnessed a slight fall of 5% to 10% except for the oldest, which increased to half of the visitors’ percentage, the same as the figure for people under 50.
