It is evident that 14-24 aged individuals used to visit the cinema most but showed fluctuations over time. However, the over 50s had not been visiting the cinema quite often compared to the other age groups but the figure rose as the number of year passes.
All age groups showed the fluctuations over the period of time. From 1978 to 1988, cinema saw a dramatic decline in its visitors regardless of the age. Then, this figure rose for all in the next years. The percentage for over 50s and the most younger ones remained stable till 2003. After that, there was a moderate increase in the older group constituting 50%. On the contrary, proportion of 14-24 aged people dropped to 80% in 2008.
Overall, there has been quite changes in the percentage of different age groups between the years of 1978 to 2008. It can be seen that younger people had been visiting the cinema most over all these years. People aged between 25-49 had always been going to the cinema moderately while the least proportion had been 50 plus people.
