The line graph illustrates the percentage of people from 1998 to 2008 who used five different communication methods. The methods are landline service, internet service, mobile broadband, cellular phone service and faxed broadband.
Based on the graph, in 1998 the most common method are landline service with 15 percent of people use this service, followed by cellular phone with 5 percent and internet service approximately 4 percent. There are 0 person use faxed and mobile broadband from 1998 to 2002. The number stayed relatively the same in 2000, with only a slight increase in cellular and internet service. In 2002, cellular phone service with a huge 10 percent increase catch up with landline service whose number stayed the same. Internet service also increase modestly. Cellular phone has the most user in 2004 upwards, with major increase each year. No change for mobile broadand, but a minor increase for faxed broadband in 2 percent of user. In 2006, all methods experience an increase in user. However, in 2008, landline service finally goes down in user with a small decrease. Cellular phone still reign at the top with 68 percents of user. Furthermore, faxed and mobile broadband has a similar number of user in 6 percents and internet service takes the place at number two with 25 percent of user.
In conclusion, aside from minor decrease for landline service in 2008, all methods experienced an increase each year with the most shift for cellular phone service. Besides that, all percentage only increase slightly for all methods.
