The line graph compares the percentage of 4 age groups of cinema audience, namely Age 14-24, Age 25-34, Age 35-49, Age 50+, in the course of 30 years from 1978 to 2008 in one particular country.
Overall, it is clear that in one year, all of them had the same trajectory. However, at the end, people aged 50 and above had an upward trend, while the rest witnessed a gradual decrease.
On the on hand, there are two young groups, to be more precise those who 14-24 and 25-34-year old. In 1988, both of them hit a low by approximately 20 percent, nontheless, they recovered in 1998. In the next decade, they remained a flat until 2003, then followed by steadily decrease to 80% and 65% respectively.
In stark contrast, the other two, had roughly the same trajectory. From 1978 to 1998 they both went down by 20% and then grew again by 20% and remained the same until 2008. As a result, they both share the shape of 40%.
