The line graph illustrate how many percentage of 18 years old famale or male study at secondary school in four country: Norway, UK, Italy, and Spain.
Overall, it is clear that, in both figure, in Norway, the most people continued at secondary school, while the reverse was true for Spain. And all countries saw an increase at given period.
In 1996, in Norway, the 90% of female study at secondary school, and this figure increased to 100% in 2000, after that remained unchenged to end of the perid. In contrast, Spanish women at secondary school, increased from about 68% in 1996 to 74% in 2000, before declining 69% followed by recovery in 2003. However, the figure of Italy for men flactuated around Spain’s figure at 70%. However, the trend for the UK, accelareting from almost 64% to 85%, between 1996 and 2000, overtaking Spain and Italy, but then maintained unchenged at the finishing the period.
In the figure of men, the percentage of men of Norway, accounted for exactly 90% at the begining of the period, and then reaching a peak of 100%, before declining to just over 90% in 2003.But, the men’s percentage who from UK, increased gradually by 20% over first 4 year, starting at 65%, that then maintained it. Italy and Spain displayed somewhat similar patterns in that both saw increase from about 57 % and around 52%, to 57% and 67%, respectively.The graphs below show the percentage of young people in four countries who continued their secondary education to the age of 18 between 1996 to 2003.
