The chart provides data on the several crimes in Great Britain that took place from the end of the 20th century to the beginning of the 2000s.
To begin with, car theft was the type of crime that corresponded to the highest index on this chart. In 1970, the number of stolen cars was 0.4 million. The index continued to rise until 1995 when it reached its peak at 1.6 million. Having reached 1.6 million units, the data declined steeply and attained 1 million units.
Compared to the first type of crime, house burgling was slightly tranquil. The interesting fact is that from 1970 to 1980, the index was increasing simultaneously to car theft. The peak of the index was amounted in 1990 (approximately 0.7 million). By the end of the 1990s, cases related to house burgling commenced to diminish. In 2005, it reached 0.5 million respectively.
The lowest index in this chart is street robbery. During the end of the 20th century, this index stayed almost unchanged. However, in 1995, an amount of the crime has begun to increase and gained 0.2 million units.
