Overall, only the figures for MacOS, LinuxOS, and SmartphoneOS increased over the given period. Furthermore, the figure for SmartphoneOS remained at zero at the beginning.
Turning to the details, in 2000, MacOS started the period with 14%, while LinuxOS and SmartphoneOS both registered almost zero percentages. In the first four years, the last two did not change, whereas the former increased to 25%. Between 2004 and 2010, the figure for MacOS increased gradually to 35%, similar to those for LinuxOS and SmartphoneOS, which also grew to 18% and 10%, respectively. In the years that followed, MacOS showed stable results. By contrast, SmartphoneOS rose to 30%, while LinuxOS peaked at 25% before declining to 20%.
When it comes to other lines, in the beginning, the figure for WindowsOS was the highest, being equal to 45%, and Raspberry PI OS started at around 0%. In the first 10 years, WindowsOS showed a downward trend with fluctuations, before reaching 25%. Meanwhile, Raspberry PI stayed almost the same over these years. Between 2010 and 2012, the figure for WindowsOS declined slightly, whilst that for Raspberry PI OS spiked to 8%. In the final years, the former showed little changes, compared to the latter, which decreased slowly to its initial result.
