The image contains two graphs: one line graph and one bar chart. The line graph, titled "Visit to and from the UK," displays data from 1979 to 1999 with three lines representing "visits abroad by residents" which increases from about 10 million to approximately 55 million, "visits to the UK by overseas residents" increasing from roughly 10 million to about 28 million, and a third line not fully labeled starting at about 5 million and ending near 28 million. The bar chart, titled "Most popular countries visited by UK residents 1999," shows France with just over 10 million visitors, Spain approximately 8.5 million, USA around 4 million, Greece just under 3 million, and Turkey close to 2.5 million.

The first graphic gives information about the number of travelers going into and out of the United Kingdom between 1979 and 1999, while the second chart presents information about the top 5 destination countries for UK citizens at the end of 90’s. Generally speaking, both groups have increased steadily over years even though the number of UK-based travelers surpassed the non-UK ones and surprisingly France was the British’s favorite place to go .

In 1979, both arrival and departure in England started roughly at the same number. The tourists there didn’t grow much until the mid 80’s, then it started to rise slowly to 20 million in 1989. At the same time, the number of people who left the region doubled to 30 million.

Ten years later, England had only 5 million additional numbers, left behind by the outbound travels which increased five times the initial number. More than ten million of them chose to visit France, followed by Spain with nine million. The furthest destination was USA which led to rank 3 with approximately 4 million, whereas Greece and Turkey remained to be the least.
