After that, it decreased to 4000 million tonnes and remained unchanged for about 4 months. After that, the figure displays a decline to just over 3000 million tonnes by August. Then, steelproduction reached its highest point again, at approximately 5000 million tonnes, during the following two months. After that, it plunged to just under 1000 million tonnes in December.
On the other hand, the demand figure witnessed variation from January to August. Throughout these months, it rose to a highest point of almost 3000 million tonnes and a lowest point of fewer than 2000 million tonnes. However, it showed a substantial decrease to nearly 0 million tonnes during the last two months of the given year. Then, it rocketed to 2000 million tonnes in December.
