The line graph compares the figure of students from all universities in four different cities in the UK: London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Liverpool, over a 14-year period, from 2005 to 2019.
Overall, it can be clearly observed that while number of students enrolled in every universities: London, Edinburgh, and Manchester experienced an upward trend, that of Liverpool, displayed a surging growth than others, throughout the given time frame.
Starting in 2005, at 49000 students enrolled in university in London is the highest among all of the countries, followed by Manchester, Liverpool, and Edinburgh, at
26000, 14000, and 12000 students, respectively. However, in 2009, the figure of students in university of Liverpool underwent a downward trend at less than 7000 students, whereas, that of London, Edinburgh, and Manchester increased moderately at 54000, 32000 and 18000, respectively.
From 2009 onwards, numbers of students enrolled in every university has shown an upward trend, London was the highest at just over 63000 students, followed by Liverpool at 61000 students, which overtook Manchester at 47000 students, and Edinburgh is the lowest, at 21000 students, in the same period 2019.
