The pictures detail how modifications happen in Nelson by present. Overall, it is clear that this area has experienced different changes, which from becoming initially rural area to turning into urban cities.
In 2000, there were huge constructions which had from educational places to old market. Looking in most popular place, university was located in the north of map. City centre can be seen to locate in the middle of map, which there was train station in the side of northern-west of that. Old market was situated the left besides of city centre. Port covered completely the below side of map. Between port and city centre, traffic road crossed from the west to the east.
By the present, Nelson has widely changed, which added new buildings. Previously, the main changes have happened in the city centre where has joined bike rental schme. Old market has replaced with new shop at that area. The main figure of city, university has changed; however, at the left and right of it has added new constructions such as half of residence and new shopping centre. Train station has demolished of its first area, but new train station has built between university and city centre. City road passed from the west to east has stood in for pedestrian way.
