The map illustrates changes which the village of Ryemouth has undergone in the past from 1995 to current day. Overall, it has recorded spectacular transformations from been an industrial area to a residential and recreation area.
In 1995, farmland occupied a larger portion to the west of the village. Adjacent to the southward direction of the farmland was a forest park. Moving toward southwest of the village, people resided there with houses lining beside a road. The main road stretches to the south, where it branches to the east and west. To the west, it connects the market and shops and to the east, it is accessible to a hotel and cafe. At the southern part, there was a sea with fishing port on it.
Currently, the farmland and the forest park was cleared and sporting facilities established; golf and tennis. To the west of the village, there are more additional housing for residents. In addition, a new road has been extended to the west of the residential area. The shops has been removed and replaced with new restaurants. Another significant change are the new apartments to the southwest, which was initially a market. A cafe and hotel remained unchanged. Finally, the fishing port has been completely demolished from the sea area.
